A Study on Modern Poetry Education of Image by Painting Method
Abstract
These days, image education is used to figure out the true meaning of a poem. However, until now, the image training of poems have been taught in the established standards, and are ending with only the basic knowledge of the teacher. This type of education, the leader can realize the image of the poem through their imagination and it can be of disturbance when interacting with the poem. That is why poetry class taught through image education, needs various alternative plans. When you see the ones being experimented on these days, especially, ‘mutual text’ or ‘contrasting literature’ and more, you can see that education needs methodological use. In this manuscript, I have connected the distinct image and paintings. In this manuscript, I would like to find the appropriately used education plan for painting in the modern poetry guidance. The manuscript’s experiment is similar to the following. First, on page 2, I will reveal what kind of connection image poetry and painting has with the artistic experience of the life symbolized by modern poems and mutual text. Not only that but through paintings, the final objective that modern image education pursuits is presented. On page three, the modern image education method theory is designed on different levels. Before class, professor will redesign by selecting a painting, then having the students think of images while looking at it, organize images in modern poems, compare paintings and modern poems with images and create poems with images. Page four will show how to actually apply modern poem education in class by the design on page 3. Again, with the background of have the students who have taken that class fill out a survey, we could analyze the result and evaluate the class. Through the enthusiastic answers on the surveys, most students showed a positive response as they understood the images through interests and paintings. On the other hand, there seemed to be a problem when students disliked paintings altogether were unfamiliar with poems and refused drawing altogether. However, I will improve these problems and in the future I will find the connection to different art genres and mass media to grope various alternative education plans for modern images.
