Bubble Jet Loop Heat Pipe를 이용한 의류 건조기용 고효율 Heater 개발
- Abstract
- There is electrical energy consumption in increase trend every year worldwide. The increase of electric power energy consumption caused the increase of fossil fuel energy consumption. This is cause of CO2 and greenhouse gas that cause global warming. The efficiency of a clothes dryer has stayed for present 50% but is targeting 75% by 2012.
The heat loss of clothes dryer occurs in a heater, ducts, PCB and motor in a clothes dryer. Especially, the heat loss occurs 3.5% around heater and 18.8% from a duct. It holds most consumption electric power loss of clothes dryer and is parts that can control heat loss of clothes dryer in a special quality of its structure. So, in this study, study on the development of high efficiency heater using Bubble Jet Loop Heat Pipe was proceeded.
Bubble Jet Loop Heat Pipe is a newly devised variation of heat pipe in which heat is effectively transported by the latent heat of evaporation and condensation as well as the heat capacity of circulating working fluid. Its structure is a very simple and a low cost.
The purpose of this study is to achieve energy efficiency of a clothes dryer more than 6%. In order to evaluate energy efficiency between BJLHP and conventional heater, The heater that BJLHP is applied to was designed through thermodynamic design. The working fluid of BJLHP is water. It showed that it is the optimum charging ratio in case of 80%. Through comparing experiments of energy efficiency, BJLHP was better performance than conventional heater about 11%. This indicated that BJLHP has a possibility as clothes dryer heater.
