교육연극을 활용한 의 교수․학습 방안

Abstract

판소리는 문학성․연극성․음악성을 고루 갖춘 복합적인 장르이다. 판소리를 문학 텍스트로만 바라보고 작품을 감상하고 해석하는 데서 나아가 학습자가 직접 공연을 해보게 되면 판소리를 더욱 효과적으로 학습할 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본고에서는 판소리 를 효과적으로 교수․학습할 수 있는 방법으로 교육연극을 제시하여 구체적인 교수․학습 방안을 마련하였다. 본고의 내용을 간략히 정리하면 다음과 같다. Ⅰ장에서는 연구의 목적을 밝히고, 선행연구를 통해 교육연극의 효용성에 관한 연구와 의 교수․학습 방안에 대한 연구에는 어떤 것들이 있는 지 살펴보았다. 그리고 연구대상 및 연구방법에서 교육연극과 판소리 에 대해 간략히 살펴보았다. Ⅱ장에서는 교과서 분석을 통해 기존 교과서의 문제점을 보완할 수 있는 본고의 교수․학습 방향과 수업에 활용할 텍스트를 선정하였다. 본고에서는 이해활동뿐 아니라 창작활동도 비중 있게 다룰 수 있는 학습 활동을 제시하고, 학습자들이 스스로 작품을 다양한 관점에서 수용할 수 있고, 판소리의 복합적인 성격을 학습할 수 있는 학습활동을 제시하는 것을 교수․학습 방향으로 선정하였다. 텍스트 선정에서는 의 본 내용에 가장 충실한 박봉술 창본을 텍스트로 삼고, 그 중 여섯 대목을 선정하여 학습자들이 의 여러 대목을 학습할 수 있도록 하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 교육연극을 활용한 의 교수․학습 방안을 마련하였다. 먼저 기존의 교육연극을 활용한 교수․학습 모형을 바탕으로 본고의 교수․학습 모형을 제시하였다. 다음으로 교수․학습 방안을 3차시에 걸쳐 제시하였는데, 1차시는 텍스트 이해 단계로 의 장르적 특성, 인물의 성격, 주제를 파악하고 의 인물을 현대적으로 재해석하는 활동을 제시하였다. 2차시는 공연 준비 단계로, 1차시의 활동을 바탕으로 의 내용을 각색하는 활동을 제시하였다. 마지막 3차시에서는 각색한 내용을 공연하고, 즉석토론을 통해 공연 내용을 정리하는 활동을 제시하였다. 이와 같이 본고에서는 효율적인 판소리 교육을 하기 위한 목적으로 교육연극을 활용한 의 교수․학습 방안을 마련하였다. 교육연극을 활용한 수업은 학습자들이 직접 텍스트의 내용을 각색해서 공연하는 과정에서 작품의 인물, 갈등, 주제 등을 자연스럽게 학습할 수 있고, 학습자 중심의 수업이 이루어 질 수 있다는 효과가 있다. 그 외에도 연극을 하는 과정에서 협동심과 의사소통 능력을 기를 수 있고, 학습자들의 흥미를 높일 수 있는 등의 효과를 가질 수 있다.

Pansori(traditional narrative singing) is the performing art that is evenly equipped with literary value, musicality, and theatricality. However, the existing Pansori instruction has been performed with a cramming method of teaching, which memorizes the decoding in language, the genre-based characteristic, the structural analysis in a work, and the situation at that time of creation and enjoyment, to which learners are not accustomed, with seeing Pansori just as literary text. Pansori is the performing art. Thus, what learners try to directly perform will be effective for learning the character's personality, the conflict structure, and the performing art-based feature in Pansori, rather than the cramming method of teaching. Accordingly, this study suggested the educational drama as educational method in Pansori, and selected as the instructional text. Briefly arranging the contents of this study, they are as follows. In ChapterⅠ, it clarified the objective of research, and examined which things there are in a research on effectiveness of educational drama and in a research on teaching․learning plan for , through prior researches. And, it briefly examined about the educational drama and Pansori in the research subject and a research method. In Chapter Ⅱ, it selected the teaching․learning direction in this study, which can supplement problems about the existing textbook through analyzing textbook, and the text, which will be applied to instruction. This study selected teaching․ learning direction, which suggests the learning activity available for possibly addressing even the creation activity heavily as well as the understanding activity, and which proposes the learning activity that learners themselves can accept a work from diverse perspectives and can learn complex character in Pansori. In selecting text, it allowed learners to possibly learn several passages in , by having text as Park Bong-sul's Changbon(text), which is most loyal to this content of , and by selecting six passages among them. In Chapter Ⅲ, the teaching․learning plan was arranged for , which applied educational drama. First of all, the teaching․learning model was suggested on the basis of teaching․learning model that applied the conventional educational drama. The next was proposed the teaching․learning plan over 3 instructional units. As the 1st instructional unit is the stage of understanding text, it grasped the genre-based characteristics, the character's personality, and a theme in , and suggested activity of re-analyzing the character of modernly. As the 2nd instructional unit is the stage of preparing performance, it suggested activity of adapting contents in based on activity of the 1st instructional unit. In the finally 3rd instructional unit, it suggested activity of performing the adapted contents and arranging the performance contents through an extemporaneous discussion. In this way, this study arranged the teaching․learning plan for , which applied educational drama, with the aim of efficient Pansori education. The instruction with application of educational drama has effect as saying that learners can naturally learn character, conflict, and theme of a work in the process of directly adapting and performing the contents of text, and that the learner-centered instruction can be achieved. Even in addition to it, there may be effect such as possibly fostering cooperation and communication ability in the process of acting a play, and as increasing learners' interest. However, if learners' positive participation isn't formed, only the mood in instruction is in disorder, resulting even in big possibility that this effect will not be able to be seen. To prevent this, this study allowed learners to possibly participate more positively in group activity through students' mutual evaluation. It will be good to apply all these processes directly to instruction and to pursue another alternative plan. However, what the teaching․learning plan in this study fails to be applied to real instruction is left as inconvenience. The educational drama is the effective teaching․learning method given applying to the instruction in several fields as well as Pansori instruction. Thus, many teaching․learning plans available for supplementing demerits of educational drama will need to be arranged.
