Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School Students' Perceptions of School Education
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide the basics of effective Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School education by analyzing Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about their educational environment and school education. And it will help understanding about Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School Education.

To achieve the purpose of this research, the study carried out a survey targeting 350 Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students.
Data were analyzed by PASW Statistics 18, analysis methods includes Frequency Analysis, One way ANOVA, Crosstabulation Analysis.
The findings are as follows:

First, Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about instructions of department is generally positive. And they demand expansion of practice instruction.
Second, Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about curriculum is generally positive. And they demand field-experience learning.
Third, Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about school management and administration is generally positive. But they dissatisfied with considering their opinion about school management and administration. So it should be necessary to reflect students' opinion on school management and administration.
Fourth, Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about counselling and personality guidance is generally positive. And the efforts to stop school violence are valued most positive. But the satisfaction in club activities is relatively low, so we need to come up with measure to increase club activities.
Fifth, the establishment and employment in connection with instruction of department is preferred. Looking into the motivation for major choice according to carrier choice pattern, the students who choice carrier for self-actualization are often choice carrier in connection with instruction of department. There are often to choice instruction of department considering personal aptitude and interest. On the other hand, the case to apply for admission to a school of higher grade unrelated major, the choice motives of major is often poor grades in their studies. This students' major satisfaction is low who choice major and entrance into their school by poor grades in their studies, and they prefer to enter university unrelated major.
It takes some effort to recruit new excellent students who have aptitude and interest for the major.
