Abstract
Present status for English Education in English Kindergarten and Korean Teachers’ Perception of English classes

This study was to examine the current state of the early childhood’s English Education and the recognition of the Korean teachers in English kindergarten in Busan where teachers and students speak English in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to offer superior early childhood education and an efficient English education in early childhood in English kindergarten in Busan.
The questionnaires used are as follows:
1. What is the actual background of English teachers for early childhood in English kindergarten?
2. What is the actual state of English Education for early childhood in English kindergarten?
3. What is the recognition of the teachers about the education in English kindergarten?
4. What are the difficulties that the teachers go through in English kindergarten?
The results of the study are summarized as follows.
First most of the teachers did not major in early childhood education. They started their careers without any knowledge about childhood education. Therefore, they have trouble controlling children and dealing with difficult problems associated with children.
Second, teachers in English kindergarten mostly teach English through an English class, but many of them teach other subjects such as math, gym, and science in English as well.
Third, parents who pay more tuition fees for English kindergartens complain about the school’s environments and facilities. Citing that English kindergartens are not as good, as friendly, or as safe as Korean kindergartens. Specifically teachers especially have trouble dealing with nursing and caring for children. Fourth, even though those problems mentioned above exist, teachers think most parents are happy with their children’s English improvements and they agree to sending their children English kindergarten.
