요하네스 잇텐의 기초조형교육을 통한 부산지역 특성화고등학교 디자인교육 연구

Abstract

Recently, Seoul is selected as World Design Capital (WDC). It showed that there was a great development in Korean design field. To achieve this development, Korean design education has made a large contribution. Korean specialized high schools’ objective of education is different from Vocational High schools’ objective of education which is the training of technicians by focusing on specialized education considering to students’ aptitude and talent, but many people confuse the former with ‘Specialized’ Vocational High schools. This study starts from a precedent study that schools which have different objectives of education have a same curriculum and teaching method. This study tries to find the difference between the specialized high school and the Vocational High school which focuses on skills from the basic art education. Johannes Itten’s basic plastic education which develops students’ sensitivity, intelligence and imagination suggests the changing the way of thinking in design field and it has a differentiation with Vocational High schools which focus on only practicality. This study researched the importance of the basic plastic and Johannes Itten’s teaching methods through his basic plastic education. The research is carried out with design education’s curriculum and contents of specialized high schools in Busan city comparing with the basic plastic education. Finally, the result of this study can be referenced by the study of important basic plastic education and the way to improve the design education of specialized high schools.
