마이크로 버블을 이용한 플레이트 열교환기의 파울링 저감 특성
- Abstract
- For a plate heat exchanger, it has been necessary to improve the conventional manual cleaning process which could create operation loss, time loss, maintenance cost and even trigger environmental pollution.
Now a device that scrubs shell & tube heat exchangers by passing sponge balls through the tubes has been supplied. However a device that can automatically clean the fouling of plate heat exchangers has not been developed yet.
This research suggests a way that can solve all these problems, even keeping with continuous high heat transfer efficiency. In the present paper, a new cleaning system was designed, developed and evaluated, which can automatically clean the fouling on the plate heat exchanger at regular intervals by using micro-bubbles. In terms of thermal performance, it was more efficient to use a micro-bubble generation device having around 5% higher heat transfer coefficients, compared to a normal operation without the micro-bubble cleaning. Dissolved oxygen value was reduced by around 8.5% when both an air-bubble separator and a dissolved oxygen separator are used, compared to using only a micro-bubble separator.
