Suitability Analysis of English Fairly Tale, 'KONGJWI AND PADJWI' as Education Support Materials for the Primary School English Education

Abstract
The results of this study are as follows:
First, English storybook, 'KONGJWI AND PATJWI', which is familiar material to students is closely related to the language development of primary school learners, and plays a pivotal role in giving them important lesson of life and cultivating their recognition.
Second, since English storybook, 'KONGJWI AND PATJWI' has the characteristics of traditional fairy tale, it is not sufficient to attract senior students' interest and attention due to tedious material. Accordingly, it has a limit to utilize in connection with textbooks, in which various materials appear.
Third, it shows that it makes students lose their interest in English because it requires high English level compared to tedious material. Investigating vocabularies, words that could be absorbed for lower-grade students were only 56 words among whole 172 words. It reveals that this English story book was produced without consideration of the level of lower-grade students.
Summarizing research results, it was confirmed that English Storybook,「KONGJWI AND PATJWI」, which is currently used in the field of primary school is closely related to the language development of primary school learners, and plays the important role in cultivating learners' recognition, which is essential for life. However, findings showed that the materials are limited because of characteristics of traditional fairy tale. Accordingly, it is difficult to teach students in connection with textbooks, and it makes students lose their interest in English because of high level, which does not correspond to the language level of primary school students. Therefore, it is required to select learner-centered English fairy tale by securing more various genres, and training teachers based on manuals of English fairy tales.
