Abstract
Internet is growing really fast, there are many different types of Web Pages. Everyone easily can create their own Web pages. They want to protect their Web pages from spams. The Spam Filtering System (SFS) is an advanced Web proxy service. The proxy is located between client and server. Its basic function is to modify incoming HTTP request from client to server and outgoing HTTP responses from server to client. We implemented SFS based on a Reverse Proxy Architecture. We used Squid proxy to create reverse proxy. Squid is a caching proxy and reverse proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and more. Squid controls all HTTP request/response between client and server. Squid implemented ICAP protocol in the proxy. Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) is a protocol aimed at providing simple object based content vectoring for HTTP services. It allows ICAP client to pass HTTP messages to ICAP servers for any transactions. ICAP client is located in Squid. The server executes its transformation service on messages and sends back responses to the client, usually with modified messages. The adapted message may be either HTTP request/response. They are used to implement filters for SFS.
